Freshmen Movie Night

Last Friday night, the class of 2016 had a fundraiser for their
class here at Red Cloud. The movie they voted to watch was Insidious, a popular
horror movie for teens. Clare Huerter, the freshmen English teacher, was the
supervisor for the evening. She found it very enjoyable. “I think it went
really well. They handled the responsibility really well,” she said. “I’d like
to do it again.”
It was a successful fundraiser because 30 out of 44 freshmen
attended. Pizza was sold along with pop, bottled water, and snacks. It was a
brilliant idea, and student council member Bella New Holy found it to be a
great activity. “We raised a lot of money,” she said, adding that she’d love to do it
again. “It was fun,” agreed Leannah Vitalis. This idea may also have sparked ideas for other classes as well. Good
job freshmen!
