Shoes, Shoes, and Free Shoes

Grey, Black, Green. TOMS shoes have made their way back to Red Cloud for a second time.

Every student received a new pair of TOMS on September 30. The program was made possible by middle school counselor Amanda Carlow.

“Two years I was doing an internship at Red Shirt, and National Relief Charities brought shoes to the kids at Red Shirt. So when I came to Red Cloud, I called NRC to find out what we had to do get them to bring shoes here. I filled out the paperwork they needed, and now they’re coming,” Carlow stated.

 “All the kids are real thankful. They like getting TOMS. Some go out and buy more TOMS. It really works out good for the kids. I knew they had the delivery program in other countries,” said Carlow. “The students are really thankful for the shoes. The workers like giving the shoes here.”
