St. Francis and Red Cloud Football Game Postponed till Monday

Finally! The Red Cloud Crusader football team will finally have a football game! 

It’s been two weeks since Red Cloud lost to Bennett County 24-6. Red Cloud had a bye last week and now they will play the St. Francis Warriors. Unfortunately due to the rain, snow, and the heavy winds Friday, the game has been postponed until Monday, October 7th.

Red Cloud has had two weeks to prepare for St. Francis, two weeks of hard conditioning and training! Red Cloud head coach Tama I’atala has been getting the football team in the weight room to increase their strength and hopefully their strength can increase the team's chances of winning games and advancing into the playoffs.

Although Red Cloud is improving this season, the roster has been shortened to 25 players when at the beginning of the season there were 35 players. Some players are out with injuries and some players quit the team. Red Cloud needs to win this game and the Lead-Deadwood game next week for a chance at the playoffs and finally a winning season.

Red Cloud has been training hard to get this winning season and they will not give up! Red Cloud has three goals this year: Conference, Playoffs, State. The football team has improved in the last two weeks. Now that they have had a Bye week the players can’t wait to get out on that field and show these crowds what they can do despite their 1-3 record.
