Red Cloud’s Halloween Town
By Jeremy Lays Bad '14
It’s about that time of year to scare, frighten, and be scared of anything weird that’s going to go down as Red Cloud celebrated Halloween yesterday.
The juniors had a spook house for the middle school on Wednesday, the night before Halloween. The most interesting costume was the teddy bear Ted from Christi Sioux Bob. Last year, Dylan Tobacco showed up as Barack Obama and won last year’s Halloween contest. There were a lot of face painting rather than masks this year.
Halloween is a time for scary movies. The horror movies that came out in October were Carrie and Curse of Chucky. Both movies were horror and slightly scary. Carrie was just a remake of the 1976 movie and Curse of Chucky was the continuation of the movie Seed of Chucky. The most popular scary movies are A Nightmare on Elm Street (Freddy Krueger), Friday the 13th, Halloween (Michael Myers), Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and The Exorcist. Recent scary movies include The Conjuring and Insidious Two. Some people think The Conjuring topped The Exorcist, and became the most scariest movie of all time.
