Prom+Post-Prom=Fun
By David LaDeaux '13
Prom was one of the last major memories for the class of 2013
before we graduate and move on from Red Cloud.
Prom was held on April 20th. Around 5:30 the show started with a feast of finger foods and at
6:30 Grand March kicked off with the guys lined up to
the left of the gym and the ladies to the right. Next, many students took pictures and the actual dance started around 7:00. At the end of the night, post-prom took students to the Roosevelt Ice
Arena in Rapid City. Students ice skated the night away before hitting up Denny's on the early morning trip home.
One of the highlights of prom was the announcing of royalty. All votes were in and everyone was excited to see what seniors would get King and Queen. The time came up and they started announcing Prince and Princess. Rhiannon White Eyes '14 was named Princess and Caine Goings '14 was named Prince of the junior class.
"It
was surprising. I never thought I would get it," said Prince Goings. Next, it was time for King and Queen. Falcon Albers was named Prom King and Sierra Concha
was voted Prom Queen. Concha was happy about how the prom went. “I think they did really well in decorating and organizing
prom and post-prom,” said Concha.
As a senior, prom couldn’t have been
any better.
