Senior Retreat at Storm Mountain
By Sierra Concha '13
Seniors will be on their last retreat from April 3rd to April
5th. Our class will be taking the trip up to Storm Mountain
on Wednesday morning. Retreats are meant to bring classes closer together away
from the school environment along with involving cultural activities. The
retreat will consist of icebreakers, free time, group talks and a spiritual
hike. Senior teachers and volunteers will be chaperoning as well.
Besides Senior Trip, this is the last time Class of 2013
will have the opportunity to spend quality time together before we go our
separate ways. David LaDeaux '13 is excited for the retreat. “I think it’s
going to a good experience for us to get connected together one last time
before graduation,” he stated.
The core staff of The Mahpiya Luta Times consists of seniors, so no articles will be
posted during this time. Stay tuned for Monday. New articles and a Lakota
phrase of the day will be posted on April 8th.
